Stop Killing the Dream!
I don't really have much to say, this Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day 2011. You can read what I said last year here, if you'd like to. I spent a long time writing it! :P
No, this year, basically the same essential problem weighs heavy on my mind and heart. In recent news, in 2009 in New York City, fully 60% of pregnancies in the black population were ended in abortion. 60% (For the rest of NYC, that number is 41%, just as horrific.) You can read more about this recent revelation here.)
We have got to stop killing the dream. Because that is what we are doing! Dr. King had a vision, a dream, where all his children and children's children would live in a world where violence would not be the answer, and that racial harmony would be given a chance. Alas, there is no chance because we are killing those children. Planned Parenthood has a proven racist track record, specifically targeting blacks and other minorities. Live Action's undercover work and the documentary Maafa 21 detail this, among other sources.
We must join together and fight for all children's right to live, right to have a chance at life -- white, black, brown, whatever. We are all part of one human family, one human family with God as our Father. Let us never back down in the face of violent, vehement evil, of which this is just one ugly face, and entrust all that we do to the prayers of Our Mother of Mercy, Mary, who said 'yes' to life and her 'unexpected pregnancy' over 2000 years ago.
In the footsteps of Dr. King, who spoke out against injustice, let us raise our banners high, and sing with unwavering voices songs of true freedom and redemption. The pro-life movement picks up the torch from the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, for without the right to life, there are no other human rights.
